Advocacy &
Government Relations
The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) helps to shape public policy on behalf of kidney disease patients. Together with our local Divisions and Affiliates, we work with Congress and federal agencies, as well as with state governments to further legislation and regulation that improve the care and quality of life of kidney disease patients.
Our public policy efforts are supported by thousands of NKF People Like Us, NKF's nationwide grassroots advocacy network comprised of chronic kidney disease patients, transplant recipients, organ donors, family, friends and health professionals.
Help in the fight against kidney disease! Join NKF’s People Like Us Take Action Network.

Additional information about NKF's public policy advocacy is available in the menu on the left of this page. You also are welcome to contact our Government Relations office located in Washington, D.C.
