K.E.E.P. - Kidney Early Evaluation Program
KEEP is the National Kidney Foundation's most comprehensive screening for Chronic Kindey Disease (CKD) risk factors. NKFH offers this free service several times throughout the year. Check our events calendar for locations and dates!
To qualify for this screening:

Must be 18 years or older
-
Have high blood pressure and/or diabetes, or have a parent, grandparent, or sibling with diabetes, high blood pressure of kidney disease.
Services provided:

Medical history questionnaire regarding risk factors
-
Blood pressure, height, weight and body mass index calculation.

Blood Glucose test (diabetes)
-
Blood tests for cholesterol, anemia, bone disease and kidney disease

Urine dipstick test for white blood cells (infection/inflammation within urinary tract).

Brief consultation with a qualified medical professional.
The Process:

The screening usually takes 60-90 minutes depending on the volume of participation.

Fasting is recommended but not required.

Walk-ins are welcome on a first come first serve basis, but pre-registrations is highly encouraged to guarantee your space.
Results:

Results will be mailed to participants 4-6 weeks after the screening.

Participants will also be given the option to have a copy of their results mailed to their physician.

Please not that this is a screening and NO diagnoses are made. We encourage all individuals to see their physicians with any concerns regarding their results.
*Note: Space is usually limited to 125 people, but may vary from site to site.
