NKFH conducts general screenings at various health fairs around the state.
At General Screenings, NKFH provides:
If you are interested in attending a general screening in your area click here for a calendar listing or call (808) 589-5906.
If you are unable to attend, complete the electronic form below for a urine test kit or call (808) 589-5906
The take-home kidney test kit is a urine test that you can perform in the privacy of your own home. The kit will help you determine the presence of microalbumin, a trace amount of protein that could indicate abnormalities related to kidney disease.
Carefully follow the directions on the test kit. If your results are positive, please see your physician to follow-up with further blood tests.
This take-home test alone CANNOT confirm or deny that you have kidney disease, but is a valuable tool to help determine if you are showing early warning signs.
For more information or to request a kit in the mail, please contact the Early Intervention Programs Coordinator at (808) 589-5903 or email jill@kidneyhi.org.
Click here for directions on how to properly use the take-home kidney test kit.
