On June 14, 2018, the National Kidney Foundation of Hawai'i honored Dr. John Henry Felix, Dr. Lawrence Tseu, DDS, FAGD, and Dr. Eugene Wong. Over 300 of the island's most distinguished leaders and guests from Kamehameha Schools, iHeart Media, the Daniel K. Akaka family, Hawaii News Now, Summit Media, HMAA / HWMG, Wilson Home Care, Kaiser Permanente, and more showed up to support our annual gala to raise awareness to the rising number of friends and family members affected by chronic kidney disease in Hawai'i. We want to share a few of our favorite memories and thank all of our guests for their support.

Walk on the Wild Side is both a fundraising event benefiting the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii and an invitation to learn more and enjoy the best of Chinatown. Come watch the lion dancers and Taiko drummers and participate in FREE health and vision lab screenings, keiki activities, and arts & crafts! There will also be delicious food trucks, live entertainment on 3 stages, and a “Wall of Love” where you can display pictures of loved ones affected by kidney disease!
