Positive Thinking

Positive Thinking is so important to practice in our everyday lives. Negative thinking can make us feel bad and/or hurt our self-esteem. Try changing any negative phrases or negative thoughts to positive ones. For example, if you tell yourself- I can’t do fun things anymore…. Try saying…. I am going to try new things. Practice positive thinking and phrases daily because this may help you develop new patterns. How does this help with diet? Well…. every day we may struggle with making healthier food choices and/or eating certain portions of food. Using positive thinking can help with developing new habits more making changes that you CAN do at home.

Try this exercise:

Write down several negative thoughts or phrases you have heard

Next, work on changing each negative statement to a more positive one.

Practice saying these statements daily.
